Joe Hartman is a partner and co-leads KPMG in the US’ Private Equity Transactional Services practice. Joe is responsible for leading the firm’s Strategic Profitability Insights (SPI) platform, a core asset in the firm’s data and analytics initiative. The SPI process generates analysis from a company’s transaction level data to determine profitability sources and growth drivers. Joe has more than 18 years of audit and transaction due diligence experience, having performed due diligence on more than 600 transactions, with purchase prices from US$5 million to over US$10 billion. He has substantial expertise in financial services, rental and insurance sectors, aerospace and defense, transportation, retail, infrastructure, and healthcare. Joe almost exclusively works with private equity clients and their related portfolio platforms.
