Joining Peter will be Christopher Wolfe, Managing Director-Head of North American Banks at Fitch.
The Political Agenda
On May 28, 2021, the Biden administration released its budget for fiscal year (FY) 2022. The tax proposals, including the Made in America Tax Plan and the American Families Plan are described in the “General Explanations of the Administration’s Fiscal Year 2022 Revenue Proposals”— aka the “Green Book”—and provide more detail on Biden’s tax priorities. Our panel discussion will focus on what’s next in the legislative process, revenue estimates, design choices, effective dates, and how these will impact the banking industry.
Focus on ESG
The industry faces very rapidly changing regulatory expectations as it relates to ESG, particularly in areas of Climate and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We will discuss evolving expectations in ESG pushing banks to operationalize ESG strategy, behavorial change, regulatory agility, climate and community partnerships, and measurement through trusted data.
