Webcast overview
With the International Accounting Standards Board (the Board) having agreed to a 1 January 2023 effective date for IFRS 17 at its March meeting, questions are surfacing about what this means for insurers’ implementation projects. In our experience many insurers still have much work to do to be ready for 2023 with confidence. Many, particularly in the current environment will be highly focused on cost containment.
During the webcast, we will discuss practical actions and steps insurers should be taking now to ensure they can meet the revised deadline with confidence, along with lessons learned from previous complex standard implementations that can be applied to their projects
Following the webcast, participants should be able to explain at a high level:
- Suggested activities for insurers to meet the 2023 effective date for IFRS 17 in confidence.
- Lessons learned from other change programs to accelerate progress and mitigate costs.
