You have to be in it to win it: IFRS 17 and 9 the time for action is now

Webcast Overview:

It is just over a year since IFRS 17 was published and the clock began ticking. As insurers embark on their journey to make the standard operational by 2021, along with IFRS 9, many continue to ask, ‘how do my implementation plans compare to my peers?’

To continue to support your implementation strategy, we recently surveyed 160 insurers from over 30 countries, including the ten largest insurers of the Forbes Global 500 that report using IFRS. We will be presenting the findings during our July 11th webcast – You have to be in it to win it: IFRS 17 and 9, the time for action is now

Following this webcast, participants should be able to explain at a high level:

  • necessary steps to get the most from parallel running of IFRS 17 and 9;
  • the biggest impacts and challenges insurers are currently facing, covering both conceptual and practical challenges, including people resources and training;
  • near-term steps insurers need to take to address systems challenges, including the positioning of the CSM calculator.

This webcast will last approximately 75 minutes.
