Cyrus Daftary Cyrus Daftary has joined KPMG as a principal in the Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW) Tax practice – a part of the Financial Services Global Banking practice.
Prior to joining KPMG, Daftary was CEO and co-founder of Compliance Technologies International LLC (CTI), a technology firm specializing in U.S. tax withholding and information return reporting rules. Previously, he was a partner in the international law firm of Burt, Staples & Maner, LLP, providing tax advice to multinational corporations and financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Daftary was a tax partner and practice leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Daftary is a frequent speaker at tax and financial services industry events and a regular commentator on developments in financial services and technology. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School (Boston, Mass.).
Daftary holds an LL.M. degree in corporate tax from Temple University, a J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and a B.S. degree from Indiana University.
