The California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) is a ground-breaking piece of privacy legislation that comes into effect January 1, 2023 that will be enforced by the California Attorney General and new California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA), a five-member elected board, on July 1, 2023. Since the CPRA revises and expands the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), it is important for businesses to evaluate and operationalize the extra compliance efforts necessary for achieving CPRA compliance.

This paper provides a brief overview of the changes the CPRA brings to CCPA and outlines how KPMG’s services and offerings can assist your business.
