Few sectors of the economy have felt the impact of COVID-19 more than higher education. Two thirds of students are taking classes remotely and even the strongest institutions are under financial pressure. Now is the time for higher education to confront the future. We ask three questions to frame the discussion about how colleges and universities can move ahead with a hybrid online/in-person learning model that can make better use of campus facilities and improve access. Institutions can also use digital platforms to increase efficiency and provide better services to both students and staff.
