I grew up in Massachusetts, about an hour west of Boston. I went to the University of Notre Dame in Indiana for undergrad, getting my Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Information Technology, concentrating in Business Analytics. After college, I spent a year at KPMG in Chicago, but only survived one Midwest winter! I then made my return to the Northeast, and am now living in Manhattan with some of my best friends from college. Outside of KPMG, I enjoy working out, trying new restaurants with my friends, attempting to cook in my tiny apartment kitchen, spending time outside with my Kindle, and binge-watching Bravo whenever possible.
At KPMG Cyber I am a Senior Associate in our Strategy and Governance community. Since starting with the firm in the summer of 2017, I have been focused primarily in the Information Governance and Privacy space. My day to day includes working with our clients, primarily in financial services, with all aspects of their privacy program from building a privacy office, defining data classification, use, and handling guidelines, and assisting clients in California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance in both first and second line functions.
I know it can be cliché, but I truly believe KPMG is all about the people and the culture. I started at KPMG as an intern, and am still connected to people I met during that summer. Since then, it has been a privilege to be a part of the Cyber community, and I consider many coworkers to be friends. The communities we form in Women in Cyber, within our service lines, within our home offices, and across the firm as a whole are the first thing that comes to mind when thinking ‘Why KPMG’?
