I have lived in Columbus, Ohio all of my life, and currently live in a house close to downtown with my husband, where we are slowly but surely fixing up every room. We must enjoy fixing up houses, as we have now painted every wall (including the outside), redone most of the floors, replaced countertops, painted cabinetry and molding, built a dog shower, cleaned up the landscaping, and even successfully completed a shiplap wall.
We have three dogs, a cat, and are currently fostering a fourth dog, who was scheduled for euthanasia from our local shelter. As you can probably tell, I am extremely passionate about animals, especially dogs, and volunteer with a local rescue organization. My weekends and evenings are typically spent hiking or boating with my husband and dogs or binge watching some of our favorite TV shows.
I have been at KPMG for 10 years and started in our IT Audit practice out of college. I led both Internal and External Audits for about 5 years when I had a client ask what we knew about ServiceNow GRC. At that point in time ServiceNow's GRC solution was relatively new and not competitive in the market, so I became one of the first people at the firm to know anything about the tool. Ever since, the product has continued to expand its capabilities and grow in market presence, so it's really all I've been doing ever since.
In order to continue supporting our ServiceNow GRC practice and alliance I switched over to our Cyber Transformation group this past year. We help clients transform their GRC programs by understanding their current procedures, recommending leading practices, designing future state process, and ultimately leveraging ServiceNow GRC as a technology to enable their programs. I’m excited to be in the Cyber practice, and am really looking forward to continuing to meet all of our Women in Cyber this year!
Starting out of college I never thought I would stay at a Big Four for this long. However, KPMG has continued to provided me opportunities I don’t think I would have found elsewhere. In 10 years at the firm, I have been in 4 different practices, providing me the opportunity to learn multiple industries, technologies, business processes, and our key service offerings. Growth potential and learning has always been extremely important for me, and I've been fortunate enough to work with some of the smartest, innovative, driven people I've ever met. They have continued to challenge me and make me excited to show up every workday, in order to provide innovative solutions to our clients problems.
