The 2013 drug supply chain Security Act means all those who make in supply prescription drugs have to build an electronic interoperable system to identify and trace certain prescription drugs.
Blockchain can provide a solution. It allows everyone to track trace and verify drugs as they move through the supply chain from manufacturer to distributor to dispenser to patient, not only does that meet FDA legislation, it also changes an opaque manual process into one that's practically seamless and transparent.
Manufacturers distributors and dispensers are better informed. Patients have more confidence by enabling us to share data that's increasingly incorruptible integrated and up-to-date. Blockchain has the potential to transform the pharmaceutical industry.
